EEA 'REDISCOVER Nature' photo competition 

유럽환경청 자연사진공모전 (2020) 

 

 

EEA(유럽환경청, European Environment Agency)에서 주최하고 있는 자연사진공모전이다. 유럽환경청은 1993년에 설립된 유럽연합의 산하조직으로, 유럽의 자연과 환경에 대한 회원국들의 공동대응을 목표로 하고 있으며, 단체의 활동을 홍보하고 환경문제에 대한 의식을 높이기 위해, 해마다 자연과 환경을 주제로한 사진공모전을 개최해 오고 있다. 

 

본 공모전의 참여자격 및 촬영장소는, EEA의 27개 EU회원국과 5개 EU비회원국, 그리고 발칸지역의 6개 협력국으로 한정되어 있기때문에, 우리와는 그다지 해당사항이 없는 공모전중에 하나라고 할 수 있다.

 

 

 

작년까지는 영국도 포함되어 있었지만, 브렉시트를 계기로 EEA에서도 자동탈퇴가 되었다.

European Treasures of Nature photography competition

Euronatur 자연사진공모전 (2020) 

 

 

공모전을 주최하고 있는 Euronatur는 1987년에 설립된 독일의 자연보호재단으로, 30여국가의 300여명이 넘는 과학자들이 연계되어, 유럽전역에 걸친 환경보호와 지속가능한 개발에 노력하고 있다. 국제자연보호연맹(IUCN)의 후원을 받고 있으며, 유럽전역에 걸친 대형포유류와 철새들, 그리고 멸종위기종들에 대해, 국경을 초월한 자연보호활동에 목적을 두고 있다.

 

특히 최근에는 유럽대륙전체에 걸친 그린벨트를 조성하기 위해 노력중인데, European Green Belt는 지난 냉전시대에 서유럽과 동유럽사이의 경계선(철의 장막)지역에 펼쳐진 자연녹지를 활용하자는 구상으로, 여러국가들의 국립공원과 생태지역을 끊기지 않도록 연결해, 거대한 생태이동로를 만드는 것을 최종목표로 하고 있다.
